Mrs. Silas Woodworth 1947 Bridgewater Bulletin New Germany, July 13- The sudden passing of Mrs. Silas Woodworth occurred at her home in Hemford, Lunenburg County, on Thursday, July 10. She had been in poor health for several years. The late Mrs. Woodworth was before marriage Ceretha Mailman, daughter of the late David Mailman and Sarah Zwicker Mailman abn was born in Hemford, where she lived her entire life. Had she lived until October, she would have reached the age of 79 years. She was the last member of her immediate family . As long as health permitted she took an active part in the life of the community, as a member of the United Church of Canada, Willow Rebekah Lodge, and Hemford Women's Institute. Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Cora, Mrs. Charles Markey of Marlboro, Massachusetts; four sons, Carson, also of Marlboro; Lowell with the C.N.R., Bridgewater; Oran, undertaker at Hemford; and Ivan, also of Hemford. There are a number of grandchildren. A son, Allan, died some years ago. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday morning at the Union Church, Hemford, by her pastor, Rev. S.G. MacQueen. Pallbearers will be her four grandsons, Kenneth, Bruce, Glen, and Buster Woodworth. Burial in Hemford Cemetery.
