Eleanor Joan Louise Samms 2005 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Monday, January 3, 2005. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Eleanor Joan Louise Samms, 58, Yarmouth, passed away January 1, 2005, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth, she was the daughter of the late John "Mappie" and Carrie (Griffin) Samms. She was a member of the Cornerstone Church of God. Surviving are son, Roy (Colleen) Samms, Yarmouth; brother, Gordon Samms, Mondare, British Columbia. She was predeceased by daughter, Carrie Catherine, in infancy; brother, Lloyd. Visitation was held Sunday from 7-9 p.m. in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Yarmouth, where funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. with Pastor Brad Pass officiating. Interment in Chegoggin Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to The Cornerstone Church of God.
