Reuben H. Rafuse 1985 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: November 27, 1985. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Reuben Harding Rafuse, 81, of East Chester, died Sunday in Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in East Chester, he was a son of the late Harding and Melsina (Conrad) Rafuse. He was a retired shipbuilder. He is survived by two daughters, Helen (Mrs. Keith Shaw), East Chester; Elizabeth (Mrs. Marshall Fleet), Timberlea; two sons, Ronald and Richard, both of East Chester; three foster daughters, Mrs. Muriel Boutilier, Dartmouth; Ivy (Mrs. Art Graves), Chester; Vergi (Mrs. Ivan Collicutt), Canaan; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Pauline Meisner; four brothers and three sisters. The body is in the Davis Funeral Home, Chester, where funeral will be 2 p.m. today, Rev. E. Tuck assisted by Rev. G. Wawin officiating, with burial in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Chester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg or any charity.
