Florence Robert, age 74, of Lafayette, Tenn., passed away Friday, April 10th, 2015. Memorial service was Sunday, April 12th, at 3:30 p.m. in Alexander Funeral Home, Gallatin. Visitation was Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Flo was born August 12th, 1940, to the late Russell E. Dash and Florence Maude Atwood Dash in Nova Scotia. In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by husband, Valery A. Robert Jr.; son, James Robert. She is survived by daughter, Jacquelin Robert (Richard Kensky) of Nashville; sisters, Carole Dash, London, Ontario; Gloria Scott, Dartmouth; Margaret Anne Christie (Ken) Baccaro. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Sumner County Humane Society or Gallatin Highpoint Hospice. Florence was a friend of mine from our days at the Provincial Normal College 56 years ago. She was from Port Saxon, Shelburne County.
