George Cecil Freeman 2005 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte George Cecil Freeman, 102, Meadowbrook Manor, South Brookfield, formerly of Buckfield, died Sunday, April 24th, 2005, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool. Born in Buckfield, he was a son of the late Robie and Cora (Arenburg) Freeman. He was a former highway superintendent and retired in 1970 from lumbering and farming. He was a member of the Buckfield United Baptist Church for 75 years. He is survived by daughters, Juna (Royce) Martin, Caledonia; Doris (Harris) Weagle, Buckfield; Myrna (Kendall) Crouse, North Brookfield; grandson, Alan; sister, Mildred Wile, Waterloo; brother, Lincoln, Greenfield. He was predeceased by his wife, Muriel (Ramey); half-sisters, Margaret and Ada; brothers, Banford, Wilfred, Charlie, Everett, and Hardy; half-brothers, Arthur, Ralph, and Clarence. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 26, from 7-9 p.m. in Chandlers' Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 27, at 2 p.m. in Buckfield United Baptist Church, Rev. Tom Davidson officiating. Burial will be in Pinerest Cemetery, Greenfield. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Buckfield United Baptist Church or Meadowbrook Manor, South Brookfield.
