OBIT # 8111 - CHRONICLE-HERALD - 30 MAY 1968 Stellarton- Mrs. Claire Tilloy died Tuesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Prendergast, Acadia Ave. She was born in France 68 years ago, a daughter of the late Edmond and Noemie Balesdent and was well-known in the town of Stellarton where she operated a store on Acadia Ave., for many years. She was a member of the Anglican Church. She is survived by three daughters, Lucienne (Mrs. Desire Doudelet); Jeanette (Mrs. George Prendergast), and Cosette (Mrs. Dana Fraser), all of Stellarton; a sister, Mrs. Clairette Copan, Plymouth, and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward in 1944, and by a brothers, Edmond, Max and Celest, and two sisters, Clara and Cleore. The remains will be transferred from the R.H. Porter Funeral Home and will rest at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. George Prendergast, Acadia Ave. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
