John Alexander Woodworth 2006 Halifax Chronicle Herald John Alexander Woodworth, 80, Stewiacke, passed away Friday, March 31, 2006, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Simpson's Corner, he was a son of the late James and Annetta "Nettie" (Zwicker) Woodworth. John was a 40 year employee of Brookfield Lumeber Company. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 57 years, Ada (Mitton); children, Gail (Avard) MacPhee, Shubenacadie; Lynne (Eric) Smith, Gay's River; Terry (Brenda) Woodworth, Stewiacke; grandchildren, John, Jeff, Kristin, and Teri Jean Woodworth, Michelle Caldwell, Tara MacPhee, Amanda Smith; five great-grandchildren; sister, Ethel Hyson, Simpson's Corner; half-brother, George Chase, New Germany. He was predeceased by son, Brian; sister, Julia; brothers, Ernest, Harold, and Charlie. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, in Stewiacke Baptist Church, Pastor Ken Rains officiating. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Stewiacke United Baptist Church.
