The deceased had not been enjoying good health during the past years, suffering with an effection of the heart. A week ago he was taken very ill and his condition became critical and in spite of all that loving hands and hearts and medical skills could do he grew weaker and weaker until the end came as stated and he passed on to the home beyond. The late Mr. McNUTT was born at New Annan 74 years ago he moved with his family to Barrachois when he purchased a farm and has since resided. He was an industrious farmer a man of sterling worth in the community in which he gave of his best effort until illness caused him to live quietly. A friend of both young and old he will be sadly missed. In politics he was a staunch conservative even remaining true to the interests of his party. He is survived by a widow formerly Miss MacKAY of Waughs River and three sons Ray in the Canadian West, Russel in South Africa, and Sterling at home. Two brothers Havelock MacNUTT at Tatamagouche Mtn and Calvin McNUTT at North River also survive. The funeral was held from the home residence Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock and despite the inclemency of the weather was attended by many sympathizing friends from far and near. Rev. G.E. WIDDEN pastor of Sharon United Church Tatamagouche conducted the service bringing a message of comfort and solace to the bereaved family. Members of the choir led in the singing of hymns, favourites of the deceased. Interment was at New Annan Cemetery.
