Mary Janet Bourque 2001 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Monday, October 1, 2001. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Mary "Janet" Bourque, 77, lifetime resident of Tusket, passed away in Yarmouth Saturday, September 29, 2001. Born in Yarmouth, July 10, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Mary Jane (Muise) Amirault. She was a member of Ste. Anne's Roman Catholic Church and was employed with Cosmos Imperial Mills and later Domtex for over 30 years. She was an avid bird watcher, very interested in wildlife and especially loved cats. She loved to knit, crochet, and was well-known for her cooking. Janet had a great sense of humour and really enjoyed the company of others. Surviving are her husband, Roland; brothers, Wilfred, Yarmouth; Edgar, Brooklyn, Yarmouth County; sisters, Lillian Barnes, Fairview, Halifax County; Frances Murphy, Yarmouth. She was predeceased by her sister, Marion Doucette. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, with prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Ste. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Father Crepin Khonde officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of choice.
