UNKNOWN PAPER - GEORGE W. BONNYMAN Tatamagouche, Dec. 23, 1941 - The death occurred on Sunday, December 13, 1941at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax of George W. BONNYMAN, a much respected citizen of Tatamagouche. Mr. BONNYMAN was born in Tatamagouche, 72 years ago, (1 July 1868) where he spent the most of his life and where for many years he operated a wood working factory. He was the son of the late John and Jane (Simpson) Bonnyman . In 1922 this factory was destroyed by fire and soon afterwards Mr. BONNYMAN went to the Untied States where he worked as a carpenter for some years. While at his work he sustained injuries, in a fall, from which he never fully recovered. He was seriously ill about a year ago and though he partially recovered he had never since been really well. Some weeks ago he went to the V.G. Hospital for treatment, but this was of no avail. He is survived by his wife, formerly Elizabeth McCONNELL and three sons, E. KEITH, Dairy Inspector for Eastern Nova Scotia; Stewart and Willis members of the staff of Tatamagouche Creamery. One sister, Mrs. Andrew MATHESON of Asquith, Sask., also survives. The funeral from his late home on Monday was largely attended. His pastor, Rev. G.E. WHIDDEN conducted the Service and members of Sharon choir, assisted with the music. The pall-bearers were, Chester, Thomas, and Herman MacCONNELL and Stanley MATHESON. Burial was in the family lot in Tatamagouche cemetery.
