Edith Cavell Baker 2001 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Friday, November 16, 2001. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Edith Cavell Baker, 85, Liverpool died Thursday, November 15, 2001, in Queens Manor, Liverpool. Born in Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late John Henry and Ellen Cassie (Dorey) Orme. Edith was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed music and gardening. She is survived by daughters, Marnie (Mrs. Allen Hatt), Donna (Mrs. Mervin MacNutt), Janice (Mrs. Norman Rafuse), all of Liverpool; son, William Jr. and his wife Sheila, Liverpool; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, William; daughter, Cheryl; son, Jack; stepdaughter, Rita; sister, Myrtle; brothers, Charles, Edward, and Victor. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 17, in Trinity Anglican Church, Liverpool, Canon Ken Vaughan officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Bog Road, Liverpool. Donations may be made to Queens Manor, Liverpool or Trinity Anglican Church, Liverpool.
