Mary Edna Grant 1937 Parrsboro Record Published: March 30, 1937. The death of Mrs. Mary Edna Grant, 69, occurred at the home of her son, Lenley, on Saturday, March 27th., after an illness lasting only two weeks. The late Mrs. Grant was born in New Germany in 1867, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Feindel. In 1887 she moved to Fox River with her parents and the following year she married the late John Grant, who with a daughter, Mary, and son, Jacob, predeceased her many years ago. The wedding was performed by Rev. Dr. Bowman of Parrsboro. Funeral services were Monday at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. E.L. Tuck of St. George's Anglican Church, of which Mrs. Grant was a devoted member, having charge of the service. Surviving relatives to whom the sympathy of the community is extended are two sons, Lenley and Joseph of Parrsboro; five grandchildren; two sisters, Hannah (Mrs. Reuben Keddy) of New Germany; and Sophia (Mrs. William Smith) of Parrsboro; ad an aunt, Mrs. Daniel Keddy of Truro. Pallbearers were Messrs. Harvey McAloney, John B. Canning, Blair Skidmonre, and Joseph Kendrick. Interment took place in the Anglican Cemetery. Funeral directors: Messrs. John and Gordon Pickard.
