Walter Edward Lantz 2004 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: November 29, 2004. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Walter Edward Lantz, 78, a resident of Shoreham Village Home, Chester, formerly of Marriott's Cove, died peacefully with family at his side, November 27, 2004, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born at Marriott's Cove, he was a son of the late Laurie and Hilda (Patterson) Lantz. He was a member of Aenon United Baptist Church, Chester Basin. He was employed at Mahone Auto and Wood Motors, Halifax, for many years and Anil Plant, East River (Louisiana Pacific) and later operated his own business, Lantz Auto Repair, Chester Basin. Walter is survived by his wife, Olive (Hatt), also a resident of Shoreham Village Home; sons, Lester and Nelson, both of Chester Basin; sisters, Muriel (Albert) Webber, Loreen (Paul) Bremner, Chester; Jean (Sutherland) Collicutt and Lena (Kenneth) Zwicker, Chester Basin; grandchildren, Laurie (Lisa), William Joseph, Shawna, and Brandon; three great-grandchildren. He was predeceaased by a sister and brother in infancy; his daughter-in-law, Frances. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, Chester. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in Aenon United Baptist Church, Chester Basin, Rev. Leo Gallant officiating. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Chester Basin. Flowers from the immediate family only. Memorial donations may be made to the Shoreham Village Bus Fund or Parkinson's Society of Canada, Maritime Region.
