Herbert Miller Collicutt 2000 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Thursday, November 9, 2000. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Herbert Miller Collicutt, 90, Marriott's Cove, passed away peacefully November 7, 2000, in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, with his family at his side. Born at Marriott's Cove, January 26, 1910, he was a son of the late Ralph and Katie (Bezanson) Collicutt. He was self-employed as a building materials supplier and general merchant. Herbert was devoted to hard work on the land and producing a wonderful garden all his life until his death. He was well respected in the surrounding communities. He is survived by daughters, Heather (Ben) Dean, Dartmouth; Marsha (John) Barkhouse with whom he resided, Marriott's Cove; Carolyn Stevens, also Marriott's Cove; Wanda Hatt (Greg Smith), Fall River; son, Kimber (Tammy), Robinson's Corner; grandchildren, April, Tanya, Brenda, Matthew, Daniel, Amanda, Shawn, Dustin; great-grandson, Jacob; brother, Neil; sister, Annie Barkhouse, both of Marriott's Cove. He was predeceased by his wife, Edna "Nean" (Sawler, Swinemar) in 1981; sons, George (1967) and Gary (1979); brothers, George, Louis, and Fred. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, Chester. Funeral service 2 p.m. Friday in Aenon United Baptist Church, Chester Basin, Rev. Leo Gallant officiating. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Chester Basin. Memorial donations may be made to the VON-Blockhouse Division or charity of one's choice.
