Mrs. John Long 1932 The death of Margaret, relict of the late John Long, of East Dalhousie, occurred very suddenly Friday, December 23rd., death being due to heart failure. The deceased was 73 years of age and was in her usual health up until the time of her demise. Her sudden death has been a great shock to the community in which she lived. Mrs. Long was born at East Dalhousie and before her marriage was Margaret Lonergan. She was the last of a family of eight children of the late Michael Lonergan and Sophia Floyd. Her husband predeceased her five years ago. She is survived by one son, Edward, who lives at the old family home with whom she resided; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Russell and Mrs. Charles Cogley , both residing in New Ross; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The deceased was always a Roman Catholic and was deeply interested in the welfare of her home church where she has placed several remembrances which bear testimony to her faith. Her remains were laid to rest Monday, December 26th., beside her late husband.
