Marjorie Mae Publicover 2005 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Marjorie Mae Publicover, 81, East River, passed away August 31, 2005, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born at Fox Point, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Elsie (MacLean) Dorey. Marjorie was an avid reader, knitter, and liked to travel. She was a kind and caring person and was loved by all who knew her. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her daughter, Marie (Tony), East River; brothers, Gerald Dorey, Gold River; Frankie (Carolyn) Dorey, Mill Cove; Fred (Mary Jane), Hubbards; Herbert (Irene) Dorey, Calgary; sisters, Joan Miller, Hubbards; Jennie (Percy) Wentzel, Mahone Bay; grandchildren, Holly (Shawn) McNeil, Salisbury, New Brunswick; Brice Zinck, East River; Mary (Lacy) Zinck, East Chester; great-grandchildren, Daniel and Kelsey McNeil, Andrew and Indianna Zinck; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas; sister, Dorothy Cooke; brother, Andrew Dorey; grandson, Chadwick; sister- in-law, Marie Dorey; and brother-in-law, Jack Miller. Visitation was held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Funeral service 11 a.m. today in St. Barnabas Church, Blandford, Rev. Laura McCue officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
