Cecil Raymond Feener 2005 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Cecil Raymond Feener, 76, Dartmouth, passed away at home after a courageous fight with cancer on Wednesday, July 13, 2005. Born December 31, 1928, in New Albany, Annapolis County, he was a son of the late Ernest and Emma (Varner) Feener. Cecil worked as a shovel operator with Conrad Brothers Limited for over 35 years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, camping, and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Annie "Ann" (Haughn) Feener; daughter, Heather (Ronald) Bayers, Dartmouth; stepson, Gary (Judy) Fraser, Truro; brothers, Douglas (Joan), New Albany; James, Kentville; Ron, New Albany; Roy, Dartmouth; sisters, Shirley (Jack) Somers, Eastern Passage; Joan (Vincent) Gaul, New Albany; sisters-in-law, Diane Feener, Kingston; Betty Feener, Annapolis Valley; grandchildren, Craig (Gladys), Sherry (Steven), Angela, Evan; great-grandchildren, Keagan, Riley, Kaela. He was predeceased by brothers, Mervyn and Carl; sisters, Verna Whynott and Ruby Embrett. Arrangements are entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, Dartmouth, where the funeral service will be held on Friday, July 15, at 2 p.m. in the chapel, Rev. Martin Zwicker officiating. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception will follow in Atlantic Funeral Home Family Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
