Earle Spencer Joudrey 1929 Lunenburg Argus Published: May 16, 1929. Mahone Bay, May 9- Earle S. Joudrey, son of the late John August Joudrey, died in New York on Sunday, May 5. His remains arrived here. He enlisted on August 12, 1914, at the outbreak of the war and went overseas with the First Contingent as a member of the 17th. Battalion and was afterwards transferred to the 13th. Battalion. He served all through the war and was wounded September 8, 1918. He was 37 years old. Surviving him are his widowed mother; his widow, formerly Ruth Ramey of Northfield; two brothers, Harold of New York; Aubrey of Mahone Bay; three sisters, Hazel of Halifax; Ethel in New York; and Lula, wife of Alex Ham of New York. The funeral was held Friday afternoon to Park Cemetery, Rev. Canon Harris of the Church of England and Rev. E.V. Nonamaker officiating.
