    3. UNKNOWN PAPER - CHARLES ALBERT THOMPSON New Annan, Jan. 2 - On Nov. 26 1937, there passed to his Eternal Rest, Charles Albert THOMPSON, a life long resident of New Annan, in his 68 year of his age. Although he had been in failing health for some time, he was confined to his bed for only 5 weeks, suffering from diabetes and gangrene. Although his death was not unexpected, nevertheless the end came quickly, and was a shock to all. He will be sadly missed in the home where he spent his whole 68 years, and also in the community where he took an active part in everything where help was needed. He was a member of the central New Annan Orange Lodge and a staunch conservative in politics. The funeral was held from his late home on Saturday afternoon Nov. 27th and was largely attended. Rev. R.P. MURRAY spoke very kindly of the high esteem in which the deceased was held. Hymns sung were "Lead Kindly Light," "Shall We Gather at the River," and "Sweetly Resting." The pallbearers were Alex CONKEY, a member of the orange lodge, Bert COCK, A.M. SWAN, and John GLENN. He leaves to mourn their loss three brothers, George at Tatamagouche, Malcolm at home, and Robert of Pennsylvania, besides several nieces and nephews. Remains were laid to rest in the Bell Gift Cemetery, West New Annan, beside those of his brother Walter, who passed away at the age of 26 years.
