OBIT # 8228 - EVENING NEWS - 19 JUNE 1961 Stellarton- Sterling M.Bain passed away in St. Joseph's Hospital, Toronto, June 14, after having been ill for nine months. He was born in Stellarton 61 years ago, a son of Mrs. John Bain and the late Mr. Bain. While he resided in Stellarton he had been a commercial traveller in the Maritimes, and left here approximately 17 years ago for Vancouver, B.C., later moving to Toronto. He was a member of the United Church. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, the former Elsie Cuzner of Sydney; two sons, Lorne and Earl; two brothers, Clifford and Roland, Stellarton; two sisters, Dorothy at home and Margaret (Mrs. Raymond Benzanson), Eureka. He was predeceased by a brother and sister. The funeral is being held from the home of his mother on Acadia Ave. this afternoon.
