Eldora Elizabeth Corkum 1990 Bridgewater Bulletin Eldora Elizabeth Corkum, 80, New Germany, passed away at the Rosedale Home for Special Care on Monday, November 5, 1990. She was born in Upper Cornwall and at an early age moved to the United States where she lived until the fall of 1970, when, with her late husband, moved back to Nova Scotia and took up residence in New Germany. She was a member of the Grace Chapter of the Eastern Star and the New Horizons Senior Citizens Club, New Germany. She is survived by a son, George Robinson, Maryland; two stepsons, Harold Corkum, Danvers; Rex Corkum, Florida; three half-brothers, John Wentzell, New Germany; Leaman Wentzell, Newburne; Ivan Wentzell, St. Thomas, Ontario; one grandson and two great-granddaughters. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley; a sister, Sylvia; and a granddaughter, Andrea. The body rested at Langille's Funeral Home, New Germany from where the members of the Grace Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, held a special service on Wednesday evening. Funeral services were held on Thursday, November 8, 1990, from the United Baptist Church, Barss Corner. The service was conducted by the Revs. Karl and Miriam Uhrstrom. Organist was Miss Debbie Rhodenizer. Hymns sung were "The Lord's Prayer," "What a Friend we Have in Jesus," and "Amazing Grace." Burial was in the Epworth Cemetery, New Germany. Pallbearers were Darren Wentzell, Avan Joudrey, Jeff Langille, Everett Emino, Russell Wentzell, and Raymond Wentzell.
