Shirley Jean Herman 2000 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Saturday, March 11, 2000. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Shirley Jean "Shirl" Herman, 73, Pleasant River, died March 9, 2000,in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born at Pleasant River, she was a daughter of the late William and Annie (Taul) Nowe. Surviving are her sisters, Geraldine (Mrs. Roland Veinot), Marguerite Fancy, both of Pleasant River; brothers, David and wife Mona, West Dalhousie; Everett and wife Susan, Pleasant River; brother-in-law, George Sammut, Etobicoke, Ontario. She was predeceased by her husband, Irving; sister, Joyce Sammut. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Graveside committal service will be at a later date in Rosette Cemetery, North Brookfiel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Arrangements have been entrusted to R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville.
