OBIT # 8219 - UNKNOWN PAPER - 18 DEC 1960 Stellarton- There passed away suddenly Sunday evening, Mrs. James Ash, of Big Tracadie. Mrs. Ash, the former Ethel Gertrude Mintis, was visiting her mother on Kirk Ave., and had gone to a nearby store. She suffered a heart seizure on the way back to her mother's home, and was found dead about 6:30 on the pathway. Mrs. Ash was well and favorably known here. Born in New Glasgow in 1901, she was a daughter of Mrs. William ((Margaret) Mintis, and the late Mr. Mintis. Later when the family moved to Stellarton, she attended Stellarton Schools. She attended as a member the Second Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, her mother, and two brothers, Orie in New Glasgow and Russell in Stellarton. The remains are resting at the home of her mother, Kirk Ave., and the funeral will be held at Second Baptist Church on Wednesday at 2:30, with Rev. Donald Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery.
