Edward Blake Spidell 1976 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Wednesday, February 11,1976. Edward Blake Spidell, 84, died Monday at home. Born in Scarsdale, he was a son of the late Obediah and Agnes (Keddy) Spidell. He was a retired farmer, a veteran of the First World War, and a member of New Germany Branch, Royal Canadian Legion. Surviving besides his wife, Minnie, are two daughters, Lois (Mrs. Howard Charlton), New Germany; Inez (Mrs. Richard Lutz), Berwick; a son, Roger, Edmonton; seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Calvin; and a brother. The body is in Langille's Funeral Home, where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Rev. Ernest Crosby officiating. Burial will be in Barss Corner Community Cemetery.
