Cecelia Evelyn Silver 1997 Halifax Chronicle Herald Cecelia Evelyn Silver, 97, North Queens Nursing Home, Caledonia, died February 11, 1997, in the home. Born in Nineveh, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Isaac and Selina Jane (Conrad) Silver. She was a shoemaker with B.F. Goodrich in the United States for 44 years. She was a member of and organist for the United Church of Canada, Caledonia, for 34 years. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by sisters, Idella, Laleah, Melissa; brothers, Angus, Vulcan, and Farish in infancy. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today in New Germany Funeral home, New Germany. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday in Caledonia United Church, Rev. Betsy Hogan officiating. Burial in Hemford Cemetery, Hemford. Family flowers only. Donations to Caledonia United Church or any charity.
