David Michael Fancy 2005 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte David Michael Fancy, 59, East Dalhousie, formerly of Italy Cross, died peacefully at his camp on December 11, 2005, after a massive coronary. ("The Big One" as David called it!") with his worshipping Buckie at his side. He has joined his parents for Christmas, Floyd Eldred, deceased 1966, and Beryle Genevieve "Daffy," deceased 1985. He was owner of Fancy's Solomon Gundy. He is missed beyond words by his loving sister, Jane Fancy, LaHave and Kitchener, Ontario; son, Dale, Hebbville; his aunt, Rose Deal, Oakville, Ontario; loving, faithful friends, Mike and Shelly Daniels, Murray amd Sudrey Eisner, Mike and Trudy, Rolley Himmelman, Sheri Atwood, and Valerie. Cremation has taken place. No visitation in the funeral home. A memorial service to celebrate David's life will be held 11 a.m. Monday in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Come and share your memories. Being an avid nature lover and an ecstatic snowmobiler and three-wheeler, a donation to any snowmobile club, any nature conservation society or charity of your choice would be a fitting tribute to "the gundy man."
