Russell David Sawler 2006 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Monday, November 13, 2006. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Russell David "Jerry" Sawler, 62, Western Shore, passed away November 12, 2006, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewtaer. Born at Western Shore, he was a son of the late Clyde and Alice Sawler. He was a qualified plumber in Halifax for many years. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Harding Branch N. 144, Western Shore for 33 years, where he had also served as a past president. He is survived by his companion, Charmaine Boutilier; daughter, Alicia (Dan) Fraser and grandson, Simon, Hopewell; son, Vincent, Truro; sisters, Roxie Bremner, East Chester, Anna Sawler and Nancy Sawler, both of Montreal; brothers, George, Western Shore; Clyde Jr. (Jenny), Gold River; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Andrew David; sister-in-law, Carolyn Sawler; brother-in-law, Wes Bremner. Cremation haas taken place. No visiting. A Legion memorial service will be held 7 p.m. today in Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay. A memorial service will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in St. Mark's Anglican Church, Martin's River, Rev. Robert Brush officiating. Family flowers only. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Mark's Anglican Church through Mahone Funeral Home.
