Reuben Kaulback 1955 Bridgewater Bulletin The death occurred at his home at Upper LaHave at 5:10 Friday afternoon, August 5th., 1955. He was in poor health for the last few months but never kept his bed until the day of his death. He was the son of the late William and Sarah Kaulback, New Germnay and was 75 years of age. He leaves to mourn, a wife; three daughters, Ruth (Mrs. Daniel Himmelman), LaHave; Ida (Mrs. Laurence Romkey), Lower LaHave; Alla (Mrs. Guy Ramey), at home; two step-daughters, Mrs. Willoughby Ritcey, Lower LaHave; Dora (Mrs. Arch Ramey), Upper Northfield; 12 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren; three sisters, Hattie (Mrs. Perry); Ida (Mrs. Huntley), of the United States; Ella, at New Germany; three brothers, Clarence, United States; Roy, New Germany; Charles, Bridgewater. A sister predeceased him some years ago. The funeral was held at his home at Upper LaHave August 7th., 1955, at 2:30 and was conducted by Rev. R. Farwell of the Church of England, Bridgewater. Hymns sung were "Nearer, My God, to Thee," "Peace, Perfect Peace," and "Abide With Me." Pall bearers were Sinclair Crouse, Loraine Naugler, Perry Randall, Merlin Conrad, Paul Naugler, and Raymond Mulock.
