Brian LeRoy Burgoyne 1979 Bridgewater Bulletin Brian LeRoy Burgoyne, Barss Corner, age 26, died instantly as the result of a highway accident at New Germany on August 11, 1979. Born at North River, he was the son of Donald and Lona (Whynot) Burgoyne of Cherryfield. Surviving besides his parents, are his wife, the former Catherine Whynot and one son, LeRoy; also maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Whynot, North River; paternal grandfather, Ralph Burgoyne, Springfield; three brothers, Roland and Ross, Cherryfield; Leonard, Wileville; four sisters, Linda, Mrs. Wayne Naugler, Springfield; Christine, Mrs. David Whynot and Susan, Mrs. Arnold Daniels, both of Meisner's Section; and Kimberley, at home. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. The body rested at Langille's Funeral Home, New Germany. Funeral service was held in North River Lutheran Church on August 25 with Rev. Rolf Meindl officiating. Pallbearers were Darrell Robar, LeRoy Sproule, Paul Robar, Percy Hubley, Lester Daniels, and Dennis Hogg.
