OBIT # 8217 - CHRONICLE-HERALD - 10 MAY 1967 Stellarton- Mrs. Sam Ackles, Stellar Street, died Tuesday morning in the Aberdeen Hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks. She was the former Edith Matthews, and was born in Stellarton, a daughter of the late William and Caroline Matthews. She was in her 93rd year and was the last surviving member of her parents' family. Mrs. Ackles was a member of the First United Baptist Church, New Glasgow, and is survived by a son, Ralph, Stellarton, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband 16 years ago and by a daughter Ethel. The remains will rest at her home on Stellar Street and the funeral will be held from there on Thursday with Rev. Theo Gibson officiating. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery. No flowers by request.
