Lillas May Akins 2000 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Friday, February 11, 2000. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Lillas May "Lillian" Akins, 72, Liverpool, formerly of London, Ohio, died February 9, 2000, in the Queens General Hospital, Liverpool. Born in Milton, she was a daughter of the late John Everett and Ethel Edith (Whynot) Wolfe. She was a member of the American Legion Veterans Club. She had many hobbies including gardening, knitting, cards, and cooking. She was very fond of dogs. Surviving are sister, Gladys Rhyno, Milton; brothers, James Wolfe Sr., Milton; Milford Wolfe, Liverpool; two grandsons. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Akins; companion, Robert Oyer; sisters, Irelea "Rena" Hazlette Annie Martin; brothers, Virgil Wolfe, Stanford "Pat" Wolfe. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Saturday, funeral 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool, Rev. Edward Powell officiating. Burial will be in the Milton Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Queens General Hospital Foundation.
