Norman Roy Winfield 2001 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Saturday, September 8, 2001. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Norman Roy Winfield, 71, Bridgewater, died September 6, 2001, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Toronto, he was the oldest son of the late Joseph and Lillian (Williams) Winfield.He retired from the Royal Canadian Navy in 1969 and worked at Michelin Tire in Bridgewater for 14 years. He will be deeply missed by his wife, the former Jennie Ringer; daughter, Carolyn Bolivar (Dick), Italy Cross; sons, David (Janice), Ottawa; Donald (Jane), Calgary; Peter (Denise), Edmonton; brother, Ken (Anne), Sudbury; grandchildren, Jeffery, Philip, Andrea, Steven, Christopher, Marley, Kayley, Jennifer, and Hannah. There will be no visitation by request. Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville. Burial in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
