Malcolm Welton occurred Sunday, Feb. 10th, at the Nova Scotia Sanatorium, Kentville, where he had been a patient for only a few days. He was the son of the late Walter and Harriet Welton and was 66 years of age. A veteran of World War One, and lived most of his life in or near Middleton. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the home of his brother, Inglis Welton, Meadowvale, Rev. F.W. Gordon officiating, with interment at Tremont cemetery. Pallbearers were Edward Wilkins, Harold Banks, Donald Foster and Everett Crocker. Surviving are his widow, three sons, Charles and John at home; and Walter in the Army Service Corps; four daughters, Elmira (Mrs. Edward Wilkins), Port Lorne; Melzina (Mrs. Wilfred Thibeault), Florence and Doris, in Ontario. Also three sisters and one brother, Blanche (Mrs. Outhit Palmer), Middleton; Mrs. Cecilia Neily, also of Middleton; Estelle, Mrs. Fred Taylor. Wilmot, and Inglis at Meadowvale.
