Grant, 87, Liverpool died in Queens Manor, Liverpool, December 18, 2002. Born in Port Hastings, he was a son of the late Alexander and Margaret (MacNeil) Grant. He was a veteran of the Second World War serving with the Engineeer Corps. He was an electrician in Toronto until retiring in 1980. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. and the Native Sons of Canada. He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity. He is survived by his wife, Joan (Smith); daughters, Jo-Ann and Hughina Grant, both of Liverpool; son, David (Anne), Richmond Hill; stepson, Terry (Faith) Smith, Bridgewater; 11 grandchildren; brother, Lawrence; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 15 sisters and brothers. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will take place 10:30 a.m. today in St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Liverpool, Father Brian Murphy officiating. Family and friends will be received following the service at the family home, 630 Main Street, Liverpool. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Queens Manor, Liverpool.
