Randall Delston Walker 2001 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Thursday, October 18, 2001. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Randall Delston Walker, 14 Pearl Street, Bridgewater, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2001, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Caledonia, he was a son of the late Lionel and Ivy (Shay) Walker. Randall served overseas with the Signal Corp, Royal Hamilton Light Infantry during the Second World War. He was employed with CNR and was office supervisor of Via Rail Ticket Office, Atlantic Canada. He was a Life Member of Via Rail Pension Association. Randall served as past chairman on the Board of Trustees of Bridgewater United Baptist Church and the Board of Management. He was a chartered member of the Golden K, Kiwanis Club. He was a past president and member of the Board of Directors of both Golden K Kiwanis and Senior Wheels. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24, Bridgewater. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Isabel (Reeves) Walker; brother, Donald (Beatrice) Walker, New Minas; Maime D. Walker, Windsor; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday in Sweeny's Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater, Rev. Dr. Thomas Harvey and Rev. Penny Klepic officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. No visitation in the funeral home by request. No flowers by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bridgewater United Baptist Church or Senior Wheels.
