Mrs. Laurie Hiltz 1942 Bridgewater Bulletin Friends throughout the province were saddened to learn of the passing of Florence Grace, wife of Laurie Hiltz, of Lake Ramsay, which occurred at the D.M. Hospital, Bridgewater, on Sunday, August 9th. The late Mrs. Hiltz had been seriously ill for the past six weeks and her passing at the early age of 38 years is deeply regretted by a wide circle of friends. Mrs. Hiltz was before marriage Miss Florence Grace Powers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Powers of Pinehurst. She was twice married. Her first husband was Arnold Meisner and of this marriage, a son, Arnold, who resides with his grandparents in Pinehurst, survives. Her second husband was Laurie Hiltz of Lake Ramsay. Mrs. Hiltz had been an efficient and popular school teacher, and had taught for thirteen years in Lunenburg County and for three years in Worcester, Massachusetts. She will be fondly remembered by former pupils as a kind and understanding teacher. For a number of years, she resided in New Germany, where she was primary teacher in North Rosedale School and during that time she was leader of young people's work in the Lutheran Church. She also took an active part in community life at Lake Ramsay. Surviving are her husband; son, Arnold; her parents; three sisters, Miss Maie Powers, Bridgewater; Stella, Mrs. J.A.
