Joshua Varner 1954 Bridgewater Bulletin The death of Joshua Varner occurred at the Roseway Hospital, Shelburne, on Wednesday, March 31st., following an illness of several weeks duration. He had entered Roseway Hospital the previous day, going from Dayspring where he had resided for the past few years. The deceased was born at New Germnay 69 years ago and spent the greater part of his life there. He was the youngest son of the late Elias Varner and Lydia Feindel Varner. Surviving are two brothers, Uriah of Dorchester, Massachusetts and Kenneth of Stanburne, also a number of nieces and nephews. Fuenral services were held on Thursday afternoon, April 1st., from St. John's -in- the- Wilderness Anglican Church, New Germany, conducted by the rector, Rev. W.R. Martell. Burial was in the family lot in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers were three nephews, Milton and Roger Varner, Sumner Gates, and Crosfield Bell.
