Philip D. DeMond 1983 Halifax Chronicle Herald Handwritten date: April 7, 1983. Cornwall- Philip D. DeMond, 12, died Thursday in the Izaak Walton Killam Hospital for Children. Born in Brandon, Manitoba, he was a son of Sidney and Shirley (Hubley) Demond. He was a Grade five student at Blockhouse Elementary School. Surviving besides his parents are a sister, Mrs. Colleen Hatu, Winnipeg; four brothers, Brian, Western Shore, Barry and Todd, both of Winnipeg; and Shawn, at home; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hubley, Cornwall. The body is in Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday in Trinity United Church, Mahone Bay, Rev. Ellis Boyd officiating with burial in Union Square Cemetery.
