OBIT # 8224 - EVENING NEWS - 23 APRIL 1963 Stellarton- William Henry Austin, Foster Avenue, died unexpectedly at his home this morning after suffering a heart attack. Born June 12, 1885, in Avondale, a son of the late Henry and Christina (MacLeod) Austin, he spent all his boyhood in New Glasgow. Fifty-nine years ago he married the former Edith Baudoux and they have resided in Stellarton ever since. He was a stationary fireman with the Acadia Coal Company and retired 13years ago. Mr. Austin was a member of First Presbyterian Church here. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Henry and George in Stellarton, Ralph, at home; two daughters, Viola (Mrs. Duncan Cameron), at home; and Nora (Mrs. Gerald MacKay), Claremont Ave.; several grandchildren; one brother, Jack Austin, New Glasgow; four sisters, Catherine (Mrs. Charles Lorimer), and Bertha (Mrs. Kenneth MacKenzie), New Glasgow; Isabel (Mrs. Joseph Clish), Brookline, Mass.; and Margaret (Mrs. David Wallack), Lexington, Mass. He was predeceased by one brother and three sisters. The remains are resting at the home on Foster Ave., and the funeral arrangements will be announced later.
