Hergett - Kingston, Sept. 25 - Mrs. Elizabeth Agnes Hergett, 66, widow of Abner Hergett, Harmony, passed away on Sept. 19th at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Walter Cole, Kingston Village, following several months illness. Born in Conquerall in 1889, she was the daughter of the late John and Carolyn Baker Prime. She attended school in Harmony and was married in 1911 to Abner Hergett, who died two years ago, Sept. 19, 1954. Mrs. Hergett was an active member of Harmony Baptist Church and had been a life-long resident of the community. She was always ready to help when need arose. Surviving are three sons and three daughters - Burleigh, Kingston Village; Edward and Murray, Weston, Ontario; Mrs. Walter Cole, Kingston Village; Mrs. Willard Allen, Oakland, Cal.; Mrs. Arthur Baker. Kingston Village; also three brothers and six sisters, Leslie in U.S.A.; Albert, Weston, Ont.; and Frank, Harmony; Mrs. Hector McKinnon, Great Village; Mrs. Frank Welton, Tremont; Mrs. LeRoy Bryant, Cambridge, Mass.; Mrs. Guilford Banks, Framingham, Mass.; Mrs. Hardie Morse, Berwick; Mrs. Wallace Hiltz, Berwick; also twelve granddaughters and seven grandsons and one great-grandson. Funeral services were held Sunday at Harmony United Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. A.G.J. Steeves, assisted by Rev. A.G. Robertson. Pallbearers were Elwood Morse, Gordon Morse, Benjamin Hiltz and Delbert Prime. Interment was in the family lot at Tremont. Find A Grave Memorial 146604818
