Edith Cavell Veinot 2011 Halifax Chronicle Herald Edith Cavell Veinot, 94, Mahone Bay Nursing Home, formerly of Hemford, passed away peacefully June 30, 2011, in the home. Born in Nineveh, she was a daughter of the late Craswell and Clara (Johnson) Lohnes. She is survived by daughters, Shirley (Clifford) Mosher, Elaine Wile, both of Hemford; Patricia Ganong, Calgary; son, Vincent (Gail), Hemford; sister, Marion Campbell, Saint John; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and nine great great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Max; sisters, Glennie, Mildred, Daisy; brother, Henry and infant brother, Warren. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday, both in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, Rev. Dale Gray officiating. Private family burial in Hemford Cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Hemford Cemetery.
