Christine MacIntosh Langille 2008 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Christine MacIntosh Langille, 90, Bridgewater, passed away November 29, 2008, at home. Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late John Phillip and Margaret (McLellan) MacIntosh. Christine waas educated at Brookfield School, Truro Academy, and Mount Allison University. She graduated in the nursing program at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal and the Public Health Nursing Program at the University of Western Ontario. McGill University awarded her a Degree in Nursing. She worked at the Child Health Association in Montreal before moving back to Nova Scotia to serve the Department of Health at Sheet Harbour and Bridgewater. She was a long-time member of the Bridgewater United Church, a choir member and life member of the United Church Women. She enjoyed flower gardening, reading mystery novels, doing crossword puzzles, playing bridge, and travel abroad with her husband. She is survived by her husband, Earle; son, Peter (Evelyn) and grandchildren, Morgan, Durham, and Perrin. She was predeceased by a sister, Ruth. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bridgewater United Church, Rev. Ivan Norton officiating. A reception will follow in C E C Centre. Private family burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. There will be no visitation by request. Family flowers only.
