OBIT # 8185 - EVENING NEWS - 20 OCT 1972 New Glasgow- Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Williams, who was one of those instrumental in getting the old pioneers' cemetery tidied up in the south end of the town, died in Vancouver early this month, according to word received here today. The word came in a letter from her son, Dr. D.H. Williams. Mrs. Williams, who had several books of her poems published, visited the area several times after World War II, despite advancing years.She was in her 96th year at the time of death. She had lived in New Glasgow in her youth. Pre-deceased by her husband, Angus Hugh, she is survived by the doctor, Henry Irvine; daughters Isabel Ann and Elsbeth Marion and 24 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
