Glendeen Edith L. Himmelman 2005 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Glendeen Edith L. Himmelman, 95, LaHave, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2005, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, where she had resided at Queens Manor for the past 14 months. Born at LaHave, she was a daughter of the late Leander and Pearl (Richard) Creaser. She was a registered nurse, graduating from the Victoria General Hospital, class of 1932. She was active in the local Dawson Memorial Hospital Nurses Association, Red Cross and community activities. She was a member of West Side United Church and the U.C.W. Groups. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Wilson) Richards, Petite Riviere; sisters, Doris Conrad, Broad Cove; Phyllis Trider, Halifax. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Fletcher, in 1987; brothers, Cecil, Arnold, and Harding. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in West Side United Church, Pentz, Rev. Neil McEwen officiating. Burial will be in Fort Point Cemetery, LaHave. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Queens Manor Liverpool; West Side United Church or a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater.
