Born in Newburne, he was a son of the late Edwin and Lillian (Sanford) Corkum. He was a member of Hillcrest Masonic Lodge, New Germany. He is survived by his wife, the former Eldora Cushman; two sons, Rex, Orlando; Harold, Danvers, Massachusetts; a stepson, George Robinson, Woodbine, Maryland; three sisters, Sadie Eisener, Union Square; Mavis (Mrs. Clinton Veinotte), New Germany; Ada Eisnor, Blockhouse; a brother, Doran, Kingston; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Millie Beck; seven brothers, Enos, Clarence, Alvin, Lindsay, Lawson, Naaman, and Wallace. The body is in Langille's Funeral Home, New Germany, visiting 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Trinity Lutheran Church, New Germany, Rev. Robert Robb and Rev. Malcolm Beckett officiating. Burial will be in Epworth Cemetery, New Germany. Flowers from immediate family only. Memorial donations may be made to the Rosedale Home for Special Care or any charity.
