UNKNOWN PAPER - 1935 - HUGH MUNRO MACDONALD Hugh Munro MacDONALD passed away at the Homeopathic Hospital Providence R.I. on January 24, 1935. He was always on active and hearty man and after an illness of about one week when he contracted a heavy cold which developed into influenza and pneumonia. Mr. MacDONALD was of good old Highland Scotch stock being the second son of the late Chistena and Peter MacDONALD of Earltown, Nova Scotia. He was born in New Annan, Sep. 21st, 1860, and spent a great part of his younger life in the lumbering business in Nova Scotia and settled in Providence about 22 years ago. He married Madeona Vaughan ROSS of Weymouth, Mass., in 1914. His widow resides in Providence, R.I. He is also survived by his brother R.D. MacDONALD of Tatamagouche and his sister Janie (Mrs. W. LOWRY) of 181 Rounds Ave. Providence, R.I. and two nieces Mrs. W.E. TUCKER of Tatamagouche and Mrs. Fred L. PARKS, Providence, and nephew Ervin MICHEL Naval Officer U.S. Navy. He has many relatives in Boston and vicinity. He was predeceased by a brother Alex and a sister Mrs. Margaret LINDSAY of Belmont, N.S. some years ago. Funeral service was held at the Tublin Funeral Chapel on Brood St. Providence and Interment was made at the Mount Hope Cemetery South Weymouth, Mass.
