Howard Ernst 1975 Bridgewater Bulletin The death of Howard Ernst occurred at St. Luke's Hospital, Middleboro, Massachusetts, on Sunday, July 6, 1975, following several years of poor health. Born in Union Square, April 22, 1900, he was a son of the late Amos and Lavenia (Oickle) Ernst. He went to the United States when he was 18 years old and resided there until the time of his death. The last few years he was a patient at Green Pastures Nursing Home, Middleboro. He is survived by six sisters, Mary (Mrs. H.E. Olsen), Baltimore; Minnie (Mrs. George Vautour), Clinton, Massachusetts; Grace (Mrs. Ira MacKay), New Germany; Vera (Mrs. George MacKay), Genevieve (Mrs. Leon Veinot), Upper Northfield; and Maude, Union Square; two brothers, Joe, Blockhouse; and Obie, Union Square and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister and four brothers. His body was brought to Union Square and burial was in the Union Square Cemetery.
