Chronicle Herald - Tuesday, 21 May 1991 - Page A11 - Beals, George Milton - 96, East Tremont, died Saturday in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Nicholsville, he was a son of the late George F. And Elmira J. (Ewing) Beals. He was born and grew up on the family farm in Nicholsville which he operated until the Second World War. During the war, he worked as a carpenter with Department of National Defence, and after was self-employed as a carpenter. He was an active member of Morristown Baptist Church for over 65 years, serving as treasurer and deacon. In 1974 he was made an honorary deacon. Several years ago, he transferred and became a member of Tremont United Baptist Church. He is survived by a daughter, Frances (Mrs. Lewis Jackson), Shelburne; three sons, Robert, East Tremont; Russell, Waterville; Howard, Nicholsville; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Elzora Faye Ewing; his second wife, the former Eva May Ward Creemer; six sisters, Lucy, Mary, Laura, Alberta, Bessie; one in infancy; five brothers, Orlando, Charles, Leslie, Howard, Arthur. The body is in Warren T. Roop's Funeral Home, Middleton. Funeral was Monday in Tremont United Baptist Church. Burial in Tremont Cemetery. Donations may be made to any charity.
