Robert Paul Spindler 2006 Halifax Chronicle Herald >From the collection of Charlene Veinotte Robert Paul "Bobby" Spindler, 70, Bayport, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2006, in Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in Bayport, he was a son of the late Murray and Erna (Demone) Spindler. Bobby started his working career with the Progress Enterprise Newspaper and then went on to work with Wamboldt's Meat Market. He later went to work as a meat cutter for 35 years with Oxner's IGA. After his retirement, he worked part-time with local grocers cutting meat. He was a member of Trinity United Church, Rose Bay. In his spare time, Bobby could always be found boating and spending time with family and friends at Cross Island. He is survived by his wife, the former Marguerite Zwicker; daughter, Tina Hingley, Riverport; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Spindler, Riverport; grandchildren, Crystal, Jennifer, Julie, Corey, Ted, and Katie; great-grandchild, Lynton; sister, Diane (Jack) Cook, Bayport; brothers, Clyde (Mary Hickey), First South; Rickey (Nancy), Bayport; and Wayne (Marlene), First South. Bobby was predeceased by his son, Gary. Friends are invited to share their memories of Bobby with his family in Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg, today from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to celebrate his life will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in Trinity United Church, Rose Bay, Rev. Vivian Moores officiating. Interment will be in Bayport Cemetery. Flowers from the immediate family only. Memorial donations may be made to any charity.
