Born in South Ohio, he was a son of the late Everett and Emma (Jenness) Fletcher. He was an adherent to the New Life Church, Yarmouth and was a veteran of the Second World War serving with the Military Police. Surviving are wife, the former Evelyn Haight; daughters, Linda Thompson, Port Maitland; Murial Cook, Dorothy Fletcher, Donna Williams, South Ohio; Lois Owens, Yarmouth; son, Wayne, South Ohio; brothers, Everette, South Ohio; Donald, Cambridge, Ontario; sisters, Margaret Sweeney, Cape Forchu; Bessis Blauvelt, Brazil Lake; Shirley Knowles, Dorothy Knowles, Cambridge, Ontario; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by son, Scott; brother, William; sister, Evelyn Haycock. Visitation 12 p.m. today until time of funeral at 2 p.m. in Sweeney's Funeral Home, Yarmouth, Rev.
